The Centre for Social Impact is hosting an open house on May 17 so the community can learn what it has to offer.

Last year Youth HQ acquired the former Professional Building, at 4808 50th St., to establish the Centre for Social Impact to provide charities and nonprofit organizations access to a centrally located building that offers affordable office, program and meeting spaces.

Creating a single location where people can access a variety of services is meant to help remove some of the barriers facing those trying to seek help.

The open house runs from 12 to 5 p.m.

Youth HQ offers a variety of programs to support youth, including the 49th Street Youth Shelter, Boys and Girls Clubs, the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program, and Camp Alexo.
