Red Deer city council postponed making a decision on the Zoning Bylaw after closing the public hearing on Monday.

Council directed administration to bring back additional information to the next council meeting on: building heights for homes, percentages of suites in a neighbourhood, and increasing allowable variances for porches, decks and ramp.

More information was also requested on removing side-yard setbacks on corner lots, allowing commercial uses in high-density residential areas, reducing duplex side yards and residential narrow-zone frontages, and maintaining current cannabis retail sale setbacks.

This information will be presented to council at the May 13 council meeting. Details on the project can be found here: engage.reddeer.ca/LUBreview. Agendas and minutes can be found at http://meeting.reddeer.ca.
