Two heavy metal bands — Vancouver's Thirteen Goats and Edmonton's Fall of Earth will be performing at a double bill in Red Deer this month.
The groups are on a co-headlining tour that will stop on July 19th at The Vat.
Fall of Earth, with Inuit frontman Alex Rye, was nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award for Metal and Hard Music Artist of the Year. While group members view the Earth's fate as quite bleak, with climate change, war and mass extinctions, "the band hopes to use the power of music to help the world recover."
Thirteen Goats, on its Planet of the Goats tour, is described as "eclectic, over the top and not afraid to get weird." The group calls its music "as hooky as it is heavy."
