Red Deer band Art of Attrition will be among the metal groups playing at Drumheller's Loud as Hell Festival next month.
The badlands will shake with the sound of electric guitars and bass on August 2-4 as a deafening lineup of about 40 bands take the stage at Dinosaur Stampede Grounds.
The heavy metal festival will feature Montreal's technical death metal group Beyond Creation and punk band Ripcordz, death metal Malignancy from New York, comedy rock band Green Jelly from Los Angeles, "horror death-core tyrants" The Convalescence from Ohio, Juno Award-winning metalheads Striker from Edmonton — and lots of other groups from across Alberta and Canada.
Among them are one-of-a-kind video game metal aficionado band, Florida’s Super Monster Party, performing it- first ever show date in Canada.
There will be a kick-off party on Aug. 1 at Neighbour's Corner Pub with Tides of Kharon, Culled and other bands.
Red Deer's Art of Attrition, described as a "blackened technical deathcore squad," will perform at the festival on Aug. 4, along with Vancouver's death metal band Exterminatus and other groups.
