Red Deer man arrested by Cold Lake RCMP

59-year-old facing numerous charges

A 59-year-old Red Deer man was arrested by Cold Lake RCMP earlier this week for an alleged break and enter.

On July 1, police were called to an in-progress break and enter at a residence in Cold Lake. 

"Upon arrival police officers discovered the suspect in custody by the home owner who did not know the suspect. Through investigation, it was learned that the suspect threatened the owner with an imitation firearm," Cold Lake RCMP said in a media release.

The Red Deer man is facing a number of charges, including robbery with a weapon, breakign and entering, michief under $5,000, theft under $5,000 and uttering threats.

He was wanted on an outstanding Canada-wide warrant for a parole violation. He remains in custody and will appear at the Cold Lake Alberta Court of Justice on July 10.
