Florence Gallant

August 18, 1939 - June 24, 2024

In Loving Memory ~

Florence Elizabeth Gallant passed away on Monday June 24, 2024.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons Bart (Debbi) and Melvin and daughter Debbie.

Florence was predeceased by her husband Melvin, daughter Mary and son Darrell.

Florence otherwise known as Nana, is remembered by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Florence was born to Mary and Angus MacDonald Aug 18, 1939 in Dominion, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia where she resided until she moved to Red Deer in 1968 with her family. Those who knew Florence knew of her incredible work ethic. Florence was with Parkland Class for 35 years. In that time, she made many friends that became family and she received multiple awards. Her family was proud of her achievements and passion.

When Nana wasn't at work, she spent time with her family. Our fondest memories of nana were her spunky personality and ability to entertain us all. Leave it to Nana to sing and dance her way through all family holidays. Her favorite singer was Kitty Wells, every time she came on Nana was up singing and dancing. Nana was very dedicated to her husband, children and grandchildren which were the light of her life and she was the light of theirs as well.

Nana will be very sadly missed but never forgotten. She is with her husband now, so we know she is happy.

A celebration of life has been planned for July 27, 2024 at Shady Nook Hall, 28348 Township RD

Red Deer County from 1:00pm -4:00pm to honor Florence and Melvin Gallant.
